Location: Onshore Malabo Mdos Campus, Equatorial Guinea
Work Schedule: Onshore assignment

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an EG Onshore HVAC Technician to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of HVAC and Refrigeration systems and equipment across the Malabo Mdos Campus facilities. This role involves comprehensive preventative and corrective maintenance, meticulous work planning, proficient use of SAP CMMS, and actively contributing to the technical development of peers through coaching and mentoring. The position is critical for maintaining a comfortable and functional environment for over 250 employees within the campus.

 Key Responsibilities

• Execute routine inspections and maintenance activities on Refrigeration and HVAC systems according to manufacturer recommendations, company requirements, and Chevron Environmental Health & Safety policies. This includes demonstrating a working understanding of F-Gas Regulations, environmental controls, and Electrical Safe Work Practices.
• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose faults, and perform refurbishment and repairs of HVAC and Refrigeration systems and equipment. Ability to read, understand, and follow schematics, technical manuals, procedures, P&IDs, and one-line diagrams.
• Create Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), work permits, and energy isolation permits. Determine and locate necessary parts and specialty tools, communicate effectively with other crafts and operations during task preparations, and conduct thorough hazard and risk assessments.
• Manage work orders within SAP CMMS, including creation, charging time, managing parts, and close-out. Develop and maintain equipment spares inventory, track orders, and liaise with the warehouse and onshore purchasing department for material requests (SARs).
• Provide informal training and mentoring to less experienced peers, interns, and new hires, sharing technical knowledge and local work procedures to enhance the overall capability of the work group.

 Requirements

• Proven experience in HVAC and Refrigeration system maintenance, preferably in an industrial or large campus environment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosis, refurbishment, and repair of HVAC/Refrigeration systems.
• Working knowledge of F-Gas Regulations, environmental controls, and Electrical Safe Work Practices, electrical specifications, and local regulatory standards.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, procedures, and P&IDs.
• Experience with SAP CMMS (or equivalent) for work order management, spare parts identification, and procurement.
• Strong commitment to safety, including hazard assessments, risk mitigation, and adherence to EHS policies.
• Proven capability in mentoring, coaching, and providing technical instruction to develop less experienced personnel.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multicultural teams.
