Role Overview
Chevron is seeking a National Offshore Instrumentation Technician to support safe and reliable operations on the Alen Offshore Platform. The role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving instrumentation and control systems critical to production, power generation, compression, and facility safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on field instrumentation, control, and safety systems in accordance with Chevron standards.
• Monitor and support DCS / SCADA systems and associated field devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation faults including transmitters, control valves, and Fire & Gas systems.
• Prepare work activities including job safety analyses, permits, isolations, and risk assessments.
• Execute work orders and maintenance records using SAP CMMS or similar systems.
• Participate in safety programs, inspections, incident reporting, and emergency preparedness.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and mentoring to less experienced technicians.
Requirements
- National of Equatorial Guinea.
• Technical diploma (or equivalent) in Instrumentation, Control Systems, or related discipline.
• Offshore oil and gas experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of DCS, PLC, SIS, and Fire & Gas systems.
• Familiarity with SAP CMMS or similar maintenance systems.
• Willingness to work offshore rotational schedules.
