Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified Offshore Mechanic Technician (National) to execute preventive and corrective maintenance on offshore production facilities’ mechanical static and rotating equipment, in compliance with Chevron standards, OEM requirements, and site procedures—supporting safe and reliable operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical static and rotating equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul compressors, turbines, pumps, utilities, and associated systems.
• Monitor and interpret condition monitoring and vibration data.
• Support facility availability and production reliability.
• Plan and execute work including JSAs, permits, isolations, and hazard identification.
• Use SAP CMMS to manage work orders, time, materials, and spare parts.
• Coordinate with warehouse and onshore teams for spares and tools.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and improve data quality.
• Coach and mentor less experienced technicians and trainees.
• Comply with Chevron Environmental, Health, Safety, and Operational Excellence requirements.
Requirements
• Experience in offshore mechanical maintenance (static and rotating equipment).
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems independently.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and OEM manuals.
• Working knowledge of SAP CMMS or equivalent systems.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Willingness to work a rotational offshore schedule.
