Role Overview
Chevron is seeking a National Facilities Maintenance Planner & Scheduler to strengthen planning and scheduling capability across onshore facilities and support integrated activity planning. The role coordinates maintenance and construction activities by building executable plans and schedules, supporting materials readiness, improving plan attainment, and maintaining disciplined work management through SAP (Fiori S/4) and scheduling tools (Primavera P6/MS Project). The position interfaces with Maintenance, Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, and CMMS/SAP Master Data support to improve reliability and efficiency of onshore assets.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop accurate maintenance and construction work plans including required crafts, man-hours, sequencing, and schedule logic to support safe execution.
• Produce short- and long-term plans (e.g., 14-day, 6-week, 90-day, and multi-year look-ahead plans) aligned with integrated asset planning.
• Coordinate and schedule Maintenance, Operations, and Construction activities to avoid conflicts and maximize plan attainment and resource efficiency.
• Facilitate weekly planning and daily review meetings; issue agreed plans and action logs and ensure required planning information is available.
• Review corrective work requests with Operations and Maintenance to confirm scope quality and adequate information for execution.
• Ensure completed work orders contain adequate field completion notes and are closed out in a timely manner to protect maintenance history quality.
• Prepare and issue performance/status/backlog reports using SAP and related reporting tools.
• Build and maintain integrated schedules in Primavera (and/or MS Project) according to agreed schedule premises; develop bar charts and critical path diagrams for major jobs.
• Support material management readiness: create purchase requisitions for non-stock materials/services, track materials linked to work orders, and coordinate with Supply Chain.
• Support creation of new material IDs and Min/Max requirements through approved processes and templates.
• Act as a resource for locating drawings, manuals, and planning references to support work pack quality.
• Provide SAP work support/training to technicians and planners; support the onshore planner trainee and assist CMMS/SAP Master Data Admin as needed.
• Embed HSE into planning and scheduling—ensure HSSE requirements are considered and participate in observation and hazard reporting programs.
