Role Overview
We are seeking an Offshore Lead Mechanical Technician to provide technical leadership and execution support for offshore mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operation of production and utility systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership and execution support for offshore mechanical maintenance activities.
• Review and support mechanical maintenance plans and schedules in coordination with the Offshore Maintenance Foreman and Operations.
• Provide quality assurance oversight of mechanical repair and maintenance to minimize downtime and reduce safety, environmental, and operational risk.
• Diagnose mechanical equipment malfunctions and support troubleshooting, repair, modification, and calibration of rotating and static equipment.
• Execute SAP CMMS activities including work order creation, planning support, material requisition, spare parts tracking, and work order close-out.
• Review and support Bills of Material (BOMs), operating spares, and capital materials to ensure availability and accuracy.
• Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Act as technical interface between offshore personnel, vendors/contractors, and onshore functional support teams.
• Support development and continuous improvement of mechanical maintenance practices and execution quality.
Requirements
• Proven offshore mechanical maintenance experience in oil & gas or similar industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of rotating and static equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability support.
• Strong HSE mindset with disciplined execution in high-risk environments.
• SAP CMMS (or equivalent) planning and close-out experience.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in multicultural teams.
