Position: Business Performance & Finance Analyst (Contractor)
Location: Equatorial Guinea (Onshore)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Performance & Finance Analyst (Contractor) to provide hands-on accounting, joint venture, reconciliation, and tax accounting support to the BPF organization in Equatorial Guinea. This role is execution-focused and suited for a finance professional who can quickly integrate into a complex, multi-entity, joint venture environment and support accurate financial reporting, compliance, and partner obligations.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform monthly and quarterly accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare, review, train, and maintain high-quality account reconciliations in line with internal control and audit standards.
• Investigate and resolve reconciling items, ensuring timely clearance and proper documentation.
• Prepare, review, and train on Joint Interest Billing (JIB) statements, JV cash calls, and partner billings.
• Support partner clearing, JV reconciliations, and resolution of partner billing inquiries or disputes.
• Support tax accounting activities, including tax accruals, tax account reconciliations, and review of tax-related GL balances.
• Assist with preparation and review of Corporate Income Tax (CIT) filings and supporting schedules.
• Support responses to tax audits, inquiries, and information requests from internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting and support internal and external audits.
• Coordinate with shared service centers, local teams, and external partners to support timely financial close and reporting.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis, reporting support, and process improvement assistance as needed.
• Lead and support system enhancements and development of digital tools and dashboards to improve efficiency, data quality, and financial reporting.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Strong experience in general accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, JV/JIB accounting, and tax accounting support.
• Experience working in multi-entity, joint venture, or multinational environments preferred.
• SAP experience and strong Excel skills preferred.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
