Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Shorebase Advisor to oversee safe, reliable day-to-day shorebase operations in support of offshore activities, ensuring full compliance with HSSE standards and operational procedures.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day shorebase operations in line with Chevron HSSE standards and company procedures
• Plan, coordinate and monitor logistics activities (marine, road, air, and shorebase support) to meet operational requirements
• Mentor and coach shorebase personnel, promoting a strong safety culture and operational discipline
• Manage logistics service providers and contractors, ensuring performance, compliance and cost control
• Ensure robust materials management processes, including accurate SAP transactions and inventory control
• Participate in risk assessments and implement controls for cargo handling, lifting and shorebase operations
• Coordinate with offshore logistics, warehousing, marine, HSE and operations teams to ensure seamless execution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in logistics, shorebase or materials management roles, preferably in oil & gas
• Demonstrated HSSE leadership with strong understanding of lifting, cargo handling and marine/shipping operations
• Experience managing logistics service providers and contractors
• Good working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)
• Strong coordination, planning and communication skills with the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience working to Chevron standards is an advantage
