Position: Control Room Operator Advisor

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Control Room Operator Advisor to act as a senior technical authority at the Alen offshore facility. The role focuses on mentoring control room/operations personnel to strengthen operational discipline, safety, and production efficiency through coaching, competency development, and real-time technical advising.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and advise control room and operations personnel during normal operations, start-ups, shutdowns, and emergencies.
- Lead structured competency and development programs for lead process/control room operators.
- Provide real-time advice on process data interpretation, supporting early recognition of process upsets and corrective actions.
- Coach teams during maintenance, repair, and calibration, including understanding system impacts, isolation requirements, and safe re-start principles.
- Mentor safe work execution and Control of Work authorization
- Support production/facility optimization (e.g., well, facility, and chemical optimization programs).
- Advise on Operational Excellence and Process Safety activities, including MOC, II&R, HAZOPs, PHAs, and incident investigations.
- Coach teams during emergency response to reinforce disciplined decision-making.
- Foster teamwork across Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering; act as stand-in where required.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in similar role
- Chevron experience is a plus.
